Greetings, friends! Amnerys here, back again for a quick catch-up!

Can you believe there are less than 60 days until SOE Live? It's been a big focus for me this week, as I work to finalize the EverQuest Live Quest for this year. Yep, you can blame me or praise me if you participate this time around. I would definitely prefer the latter, lol! We'll have some news coming out later this week with a little insight into what Live Quests are all about, in case you're not familiar with them.

So what's going on in EQ development land? The Dev Team is gearing up for the next content release, and the Community Team is working hard to support their needs. They are working hard, so I've been trying not to bug them too much. :)

Hey all,

We're also in the process of working on a robust rewards system for Wikia contributors. Some of the ideas we've been playing around with include things like Station Cash, in-game titles, special in-game items, etc. What other rewards would you like to see? I am glad to finally have a home for all of these checklists and screenshots I have collected over the years.  I am truly an EQ packrat.  I do hope that all the things I am posting will be of some help to those new to the game or those trying to fill up all the achievements.

I will add more as I dig through my external drives.  I never delete anything that someone might need...LOL

QUESTIONS:

1. Should I add some tried and true skill-up paths for tradeskills? (Based on personal experiences)
2. What is the most pertinent information that NEEDS to be added at this time?

Nearly finished adding Skill Tables to all class pages. They are a bit outdated in a few parts but that can be fixed easily. Will either be working adding AAs or Zone details next. Or I might just go around fixing minor issues that were overlooked.

This is so fun, sorry I made some messy ones, as I've never done this before, I hope to at the very least leave a detailed guide to the tutorial. I hope someone will join in I don't know how active anyone else is on creation here, but as I've seen through what is already present I hope to add more specifics and more to the skeleton of the wiki.

Back to my work days being a bit busy, but still squeezing out content whenever I can. Too bad I dont have this as a fulltime job. :P

I finished the Ruins of Kunark Lore yesterday and added a zone or two also. Today I added The Planes of Power Lore section to the Lore page. Just need to find the time to add all those zones' lore. Forgot how many planes there were.

After completing the deity list I briefly continued on with the Zones pages, but I apparently have developed a case of ADD. After completing two or three zones pages, which included the badass zone of Estate of Unrest, I crept my way over to the Notable Tales section and added both Fansy and some of Skater Gnome 's pages.

Then I moved on over to the Lore section and completed the entire creation story of Norrath, which gave me a nostalgia overload. I have since been working on the Adventure Zones lore, such as Blackburrow Lore.

I believe I am going to call it done for the day and will attempt to continue with my work tomorrow if I can. Starting to feel like the wiki's walls are really being built. Woot :)

Well I made it through the weekend and over into the new week. I posted at least 1 thing on both Saturday and Sunday, which was my goal, and I am quite happy about it. I mentioned the wiki to a few of my rl EQ buddies and they seemed pretty interested. Drakinns has a good knowledge of tradeskills and hoping to see him use that to fill in that much needed section.

New goal is to get 200 pages on the wiki and then apply for a Wikia spotlight. I hope that the spotlight can attract some more likeminded individuals to this little EQ cause.

Applied for Admin status last night after I realized this wiki has been deserted for quite awhile. It only took a few hours before they answered my request and granted me the admin title. This should help quite a bit.

Its rather lonely but I hope more people will start to show up if I keep cleaning up and building on. Would love to get some like minded peeps running about helping with the knowledge construction.

I have been continuing setting up zone pages alphabetically and made my way down to Runneye. This is actually helping me get a better understanding of whats in these zones and their layout. Very good for the nostalgia factor.

I have finally completed all the races on the wiki, excluding the Drakkon (or however you spell their name). I quit long before those things were added and decided today that I am only going to focus on the general trilogy, luclin, and pop eras that I am familiar with.

Was going to move onto the classes category, but they all seem pretty well put together. I update with more information would be ideal but right now i just want to get everything having basic info and then I can move onto upgrading information.

Moved onto zones instead. Did not realize how many zones were actually in the game. It seems rather daunting for just little ol' me but I am up for the challenge. Will just move down alphabetically and see how far I get.

Continued working on the race pages. I managed to get a large junk of them finished and I actually surprised myself. I am slowly learning how to edit the pages more correctly, but I have a ways to go.

I will attempt to finish the race pages as soon as I can and either move onto classes and zones. The zone page seems much more simple but we are talking about Everquest... there are thousands of them. Oh well :)

Found this wiki out of the blue. I have very little experience with sites of this type except for the almighty wikipedia.com, but I feel like I can settle on in here quite easily and I believe I might actually do that.

At first I was just going through the basic everquestwiki pages to restore some nostalgia, but I found that the race pages were not complete. The idea sparked in my head that even though I have no experience with wikis, I do have more than enough experience with EQ lore. So I went ahead and completed the Dwarf page as best I could, and I will attempt to fill out the rest of the race pages as well. Excluding the trash that sony spewed after Gates of Discord. I am currently working on Templates for featured articles that rotate which should add some much needed pazaaz to the home page of this wiki. Also I have a basis for a featured media template i should be implimenting to the home page soon. They will be viewable at the following:

Template:FA/1 (this is the featured article template) and Template:FM (this is a rotating slideshow of images or a random YouTube video)
