When you first log on, a screen appears telling you that the movement keys are W, S, A, D;  howver, these may not the best choice for a beginner.  Using the arrow keys on your keyboard for navigation will reduce the chance of accidently hitting the 'q' key and turning on 'auto-attack' by mistake.  If your mouse speed is tuned for it, you can also navigate by holding down the 'w' (forward) or 's' (backward) keys and steer right or left with the mouse while holding down the right mouse button.  This technique is best practiced in familiar open areas without falling hazards.  Just be careful of that 'q' key--or better yet, reassign 'auto-attack' to another key.
