If all goes according to plan, [[User:Dexella|Dexella]] and I hope to post fairly regular blog entries here at Wikia to keep in touch with you guys in a casual, chatty, bloggy way. We'll let you know important and/or fun things going on in Norrath, or just around SOE. We'll also post update notes and any other items of note as they are available. We might even dish on Piestro or post embarassing pictures of him, just because we can...and I bet he won't catch us. [[User:Piestro|Oh look]], it's too late.

It's been a busy and hectic week for your EQ Community Managers! Meetings, meetings, and even more meetings have kept us on our toes as we start to divide and conquer all things EverQuest. (If you're wondering why, [https://www.everquest.com/news/everquest-franchise-community-managers-introduction-2013 read this].) I haven't had much opportunity to hang out in Norrath since last spring, so I'm doing tons of catching up on what's new, what's changed, and what's coming. It's been a lot of fun seeing old faces, meeting new folks, and just reacquainting myself with the project.

Of course it's nearly impossible to come back to a franchise of games that I know and love so well without taking ''several ''trips down memory lane. In fact, we've been doing a lot of chatting about the past this week, and I have heard some funny and awesome stories from many of my coworkers about their history in EverQuest and EverQuest II. I'm sure you'll get to hear some of them this summer, too... especially if you're going to SOE Live. You are going, right? Either way, maybe you should start thinking about your favorite memories, too.

Today Dex and I sat in on an EQ Design meeting. Unfortunately I can't talk about anything that was discussed, but I can tell you this: if you think you guys are passionate about the game, you've got nothin' on this development team. :) I'd love to take today's conversation and turn it into a panel at SOE Live. Maybe one day...

So that's all I have for today. It will take a few more weeks for Dex and me to get our ducks in a row. Keep checking the EQ Wikia Blog for all the news we can share.

ok so like last night im playing eq, and the phone rings and 
its my friend jeff moncrief (who we call J-Mo as a nickname 
cause it sounds like j-lo and he hates it) and hes like 'dude, 
ive got too tickets to Godsmack for tonight!!'
and im like 'omg dude wtf so you you are so gay. im not going 
to a concort with you just the two of us'

and hes like 'wtf dude girls are coming with us. like 10 ppl 
are goin'

so im like 'sweeeet dude, u r not gay u rule'

so i grab my jacket and yell 'mom ill be back in a sec, i have 
to go outside to pee'

and shes liek 'huh? cant you use the bathroom like a normal 
person?'

but i was already out the door by then, and i run over to j-
mo's house and there all outside waiting for me.

so we pack like 10 ppl in the honda and im liek 'dude get off 
me homo' and 'dude stop touching me' like the whole way there.

anyway we get there, and were parking and we all get out and 
go up the the gates, and theres this long-ass line and we get 
in line, and all of the sudden these guys behind us are 
like 'hey dudes, we were in line first you just cut us'

and im liek 'wtf dude no you weren't you just came up i saw 
you, liars'

and the girls who came with us are giggling and looking at me 
and im feeling tough.

so one of the guys pushes me and says 'are you calling me a 
liar?'

and im like 'uhh, ya are you deaf? dont make me eagle strike 
your ass'

but these guys are big and older and im thinking maybe i 
should have handled it a little differently.

so hes walking toward me with his fists ready and everything, 
and im getting reely scared now, when suddemly i remember... 
feign death! feign death!

now let me tell you... that sh!t doesnt work in reel life, 
cause i fell down and played dead real convincingly and he 
didnt even hesitate before starting to kick my ribs in.

so lift my head up and im like 'dude wtf im dead just look at 
me' and i close my eyes and stick my tounge out, and he didnt 
even think about stopping.

so im getting reely hurt now and i look up and i see j-mo 
looking at me and im like 'j-mo nuke him wtf!!'

so j-mo comes running over and stops it and im like hurt 
pretty bad and those guys run off and j-mo is like 'dude quit 
crying sissy'

and im like 'dude, stfu, im not crying im alergic to the 
pavement'

so im grumpy and this girl sara who rode with us comes up to 
me and shes like 'aww skatey-poo are you ok huney?'

and im like 'ya im fine'

and shes holds my hand and says 'is there anything i can do to 
make you feel better?'

and i think about it for a minute and im like 'ya, u can get 
me some ice cream'

so in the end i got some ice cream and saw a good concort so 
it wasnt reely all that bad. ive been grounded for tto weeks 
though, but hay, i can still play eq, so im happy.

Moonstones Quest

The Moonstones quest is began by speaking with [[Captain Tillin]] in the [[South Qeynos]] arena ([[Warrior]] Guild). He informs you of the Gnoll menace that dwells in the nearby [[Qeynos Hills]] and requests for you to bring him [[Gnoll Fang|Gnoll Fangs]] as proof that you have slain some of the beasts.

Captain Tillin also offers you a Moonstone for every fang you bring him. These Moonstones are wanted by [[Mcneal Jacub]] in a tavern named Fish's Ale in South Qeynos.

==Steps==
#Travel to South Qeynos and speak with Captain Tillin in the South Qeynos Area / Warriors Guild.
#Defeat Gnolls in North Qeynos, Qeynos Hills, Blackburrow, and a number of other locations. (See the Tips section below)
#Return to Captain Tillis and turn the Gnoll Fangs into him. It only takes 1 fang to finish the quest but you can turn in 4 fangs at a time. You will receive 1 Moonstone per fang.
#Bring your newly acquired Moonstones to Mcneal Jacub inside the Fish's Ale tavern near the South Qeynos docks. Give Jacob the Moonstones and receive Blackburrow Stout from him. Like Captain Tillis, Mcneal Jacub only requires 1 Moonstone but you can turn 4 Moonstones in at a time.

 Swarm pets are primarily a feature of mid- and high-level gameplay, as the earliest abilities that summon them come in the level 61-65 range.  As with other kinds of pets, their strength and strategic impact vary widely.  Generally speaking, "pet classes" like the [[magician]], [[beastlord]], and [[necromancer]] have more (and more potent) swarm pet abilities than others do, along with having more ways to make their swarm pets stronger through AA investment.
