Tagging is the act of aggroing a mob by damaging it or using some other detrimental ability on it.
Tagging stands in contrast to aggroing mobs by proximity or gathering up mobs via calls for help. All three are common aspects of pulling in EverQuest.
Throw Stone is a low-level example of an ability that appears to have been designed almost solely for tagging.
